Holiday home for max. 4 persons
Guajar Faraguit, Costa Tropical, Spain
Whole House in Guájar-Faragüit with Common Pool and Mountain View
Enjoy the Andalusian sun! In the holiday home La Cueva - El Sol. The ideal starting point to visit Granada with its Alhambra, to explore the Sierra Nevada National Park or to relax on the beaches of the Costa Tropical. The Andalusian-style apartment for 2-4 people is located in Faragüit, one of the three white Guajar villages. From the cool patio you enter El Sol and find yourself in the kitchen together with the dining area. The whole house is very tastefully and authentically furnished. The furniture and all the woodwork in the house are made by a carpenter, the floors are made of clay tiles from a local factory, the ceilings all have wooden beams and mostly reeds that we cut down by the river ourselves. The reeds were tied with handmade esparto. All windows have mosquito nets. The kitchen is fully equipped and decorated in blue, the cozy dining area then turns into peach. A wide and bright staircase leads up to the pleasant living area, where a lot of natural stone, clay, wood and the color peach contribute to the rustic ambience. A sofa (comfortable and large sofa bed) and a brick sofa set invite you to linger, in winter you can snuggle up in front of the wood stove with its glass door. From here it goes into the bedroom with attached bathroom. The bedroom is very bright and spacious - held in peach. Wooden beams adorn the ceiling, and a large window faces west. A large brick wardrobe is available. Here, too, we have mosquito nets on the window so that you can sleep peacefully. As already described, the bathroom is accessible from the bedroom. It is very spacious and has a large window that looks out onto the patio, so it is very bright. The combination of the ceiling with reeds and wooden beams, the wooden beams over the window and door, the clay floor and the blue and white tiles with clay inserts makes this bathroom a pleasant and very rustic feel-good room. The washbasin is embedded in a spacious shelf made of black slate and a few natural stones extend into the mirror above, which gives the whole thing a special touch. The shower is very large with 90x100 and has a brick shelf that offers space for all the shower utensils. The 2nd bathroom is accessible from the patio and is shared with the guests of La Estrella. It also has wooden beams on the ceiling and over the windows and door and is decorated in green with green and beige tiles. There is also a washing machine, iron and ironing board. The holiday home in Guajar Faragüit is surrounded by mountains, olive and fruit plantations where you can enjoy the tranquility of rural Spain. La Cueva-El Sol is located at the end of a small side street and offers you the magic of a house risen from the ruins. Here you are surrounded by a very special flair. El Sol is a haven of peace. Relax in the cool patio in the hammock and listen to the distant voices of the village: the clatter of the mules, the happy children's laughter or the "Vaamoooos Pecaaoooo" of the fish seller when he walks through the alleys. Far away from the tourist crowds, time seems to have stood still here. You can get fresh baked goods in small bakeries, there is a grocery store and on Saturdays there is a weekly market where the small farmers in the region offer their goods. You can go hiking in the surrounding area directly from the house. Donkey paths lead up into the mountains and to the waterfalls of the Guajares. The Mediterranean Sea and the beaches of the Costa Tropical with the seaside resorts of Salobreña, Motril and Almuñecar are only around 20 minutes from the holiday home. El Sol is a little jewel in the Moorish style that was brought back to life with great attention to detail from a derelict house. Everything is kept very open and yet offers cozy corners to dream. The absolute highlight of La Cueva is the solar-heated jacuzzi pool in a cave with a waterfall. From the generously dimensioned and shared roof terrace you have a wonderful view of the mountains and the ruins of the old Castello. In spring, the scents of the almond and orange groves waft over on mild nights. If you can tear yourself away from the flower-filled patio in La Cueva, the white mountain villages (Pampaneira, Bubion, Capileira or Trevelz) of the Alpujarras or the huge castle complex of the Alhambra in Granada are just 60 minutes away. Orgiva can be visited on the way to the Alpujarras and has its weekly market every Thursday. Other attractions in the region are the famous Nerja caves. The stalactite caves contain prehistoric wall paintings of animals and humans. A small train goes there from Nerja. Golf enthusiasts will find a golf course in 20 minutes and hikers can be at the Rio Verde in 40 minutes by car. The best time to go hiking in Spain are the autumn and winter months. Canyoning in the gorges of the Sierra Tejeida and Almijara nature parks near Otivar is also popular. You can also visit Frigiliana, "the most beautiful village on the Costa del Sol". In the middle of the mountains you have a magnificent view of the Mediterranean coast from the white village.Short description 1Number of kitchens : 1SurroundingNearby sports facilities : Bike tours, Climbing, Cross-country skiing, Diving, Golf course, Mountain climbing, Mountainbiking, Paragliding, Riding possibilities, Skiing (alpin), SurfingRental Facilities : Bicycle rental service, Ski-, Snowboard, car rentalGarden and outdoorGarden facilities : Garden furniture provided, GrillOn-site leisure facilities : Outdoor swimming pool shared use, Swimming pool, WhirlpoolService benefitsService facilities (may incur additional costs) : Shopping service before arrival
