Typical town house, completely renovated, within the old town of Alcúdia.
After leaving the car very close, we walk about 150 meters, through a beautiful narrow street, so typical of the town.
We arrive at the house and we find that it integrates characteristic elements of the area, such as the exposed stone and the wide and fresh walls, but it's a completely renovated, modern, current and super comfortable house, as well as aesthetically very pleasant.
There're 3 double bedrooms on the first floor, two with a double bed and the other with two single beds. All with air conditioning. 2 of them have an en-suite bathroom.
There's wifi and satellite TV.
On the ground floor we find two large rooms, joined and at the same time separated by a beautiful stone arch. Entering from the street, through the main door, we go through the living room, then the dining room, and then we can access the kitchen or go out to the patio. There's also a toilet to use while life goes on on the ground floor.
The kitchen is very comfortable and beautiful. It's the meeting place of the house. While you cook, the others can sit on the island, and accompany you with a good gathering, enjoying a good wine. Meanwhile, the children enter and leave the patio, through the large glass door that connects both rooms. It's equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, and everything you need to feel at home.
The inner courtyard is our little oasis. The pool, with a salt water purification system, measures 5 x 3 meters. and 1.90 meters deep. There're 4 sun beds and a large table with chairs to take meals while we enjoy the sun and the good weather of Mallorca.
The location is perfect, in the historic center of Alcúdia, its old walled city, you can almost imagine how life passed centuries ago here. Within a 5 or 10 minute walk, you can find countless bars, restaurants, shops, pharmacies, supermarkets, bus and taxi stops, etc. Every Tuesday and Sunday, there's a nice market, where they sell local fruit and vegetables, which you buy directly from the farmer.
Also very close, on foot you can reach the "Roman City of Pollentia". They are the ruins of a Roman city dating from 123 BC. A must see in Alcúdia.
And of course, the wonderful beaches, the mountain trails through the Serra de Tramuntana, the nightlife, the Alcúdia promenade ... all about 10 minutes away by car. That's the wonder of living on this island, that everything is close to us ...
