Perched above the Dadou Valley, the breathtaking view from the farm alone is worth the detour
Costes Auriès is an entire agricultural hamlet, at the end of the road, focused on raising sheep, whose milk is used to make Roquefort. Whether you are a couple, family, friends, or group we can accommodate up to 10 people. Children are kings here, and will find something to fuel their adventures: participation in the care of farm animals, games room with table football, table tennis, shared swimming pool, but also a small conservatory museum of life in the country.
Visit of the farm and possibility of attending the milking of dairy sheep. You will find a shop selling local products on site: wine, apple juice, honey... and Roquefort cheese (depository cellar).
Overlooking the gorges of the Dadou valley, on the first foothills of the Monts de Lacaune, the Costes Auriès farm is located in the Albigensian region, barely 20 minutes from the famous Episcopal city classified as a World Heritage Site. The landscape here is quite different, mid-mountain country dotted with woods and fields, criss-crossed by numerous hiking trails. Do not miss the Arifat waterfalls, just opposite.
** THE COTTAGE **
Located in the heart of the farm, gite adjoining the owners' home, with small enclosed terrace and veranda.
- Ground floor: veranda dining room, kitchen, living room, laundry room, wc.
- Upstairs: 4 bedrooms (three with a 140x190 double bed, the 4th with two single beds including a 90x190 bunk), a bathroom and a shower room, separate wc.
Heat pump heating. Baby equipment on request. WIFI connection. Swimming pool: 9.40m. 4m long. wide and 1.70m. depth.
Several hiking trails pass by the farm or start from the farm: Sentier des Vallées 7.5 km (see Tourist Office Center Tarn), Dreamlike Valley of Dadou, 9.5 km, Wild Valley of Dadou, 12 km, Cascades d 'Arifat 16km (see: "Visorando.com").
