The CHALET AVANTGARDE pursues the claim of a decidedly modern, exclusive holiday home in a sensationally beautiful location. Built new in 2015.

The view from the chalet goes directly to 9 four-thousand-metre peaks in 3 mountain massifs.

The chalet is classified with 4-STARS the Swiss Tourism Association.

HOUSE: With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms ideal for 4 people. Possible up to 6 persons by extra mattresses. Upstairs large living-dining area, up to 3.50 m high and with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows facing south. See floor plans and photos.

PHOTOS: They are all real, so nothing has been 'added'.  But they are also 'edited' in the usual way today. The scenes outside show special situations of different seasons. If you are interested, you can see the photos with a much better resolution on our own homepage.

LOCATION: Nestled in an exclusive landscape at 1,800 metres, between Törbel (1,500 m) and Moosalp (2,045 m), the view extends 1,000 metres down into the Saas Valley or the Zermatt Valley. The absolute south-facing position guarantees sun from morning to evening. From the balcony of the chalet you have a view of three groups of four-thousand-metre peaks: on the left the Weismies group (4,017 m), in the middle the Mischabel group with the Nadelhorn (4,327) and Dom (4,545), on the right the Weisshorn (4,505) and Bishorn (4,153).

FEEDBACKS: 170 feedbacks are listed on the own, easy-to-find homepage. This is the highest number of feedbacks recorded on any other platform in the whole of Valais with approx. 4,000 holiday properties on offer! Many feedbacks in english language et en francais en in het Nederlands.

WINTER: The season in the ski area of Moosalp/Bürchen (9 lifts, up to 2,550 m) runs from Christmas to 20 March. The ski area is 1,000 m from the chalet, and there is an occasional ski bus. Ski passes are reasonably priced and there is the additional option of points cards.
Large ski areas in the neighbourhood: Grächen, Saas Grund each 30 min drive, Saas Fee 40 min and Zermatt 1 hour.

SPRING / SUMMER / AUTUMN: The period from the end of March to the beginning of May is characterised by a lot of peace and quiet. On clear days it is very beautiful, but no greenery grows yet = a quiet time. From the beginning of May, spring awakens with power. Around 20 June, alpine procession with cow fight. The alpine meadow adjacent to the house, which is under federal protection, is not mown until the beginning of July; enjoy the sea of flowers until then. On the Moosalp, a nationally known hiker's paradise, local festivals are regularly celebrated in August. Late summer begins with the driving down of the cattle from the alpine pastures around 10 Sept. The cows then stand in the meadows around the chalet so that you can enjoy the (moderate) ringing of the bells. From 20 Sept. to early Oct. stags rut in the Bannwald forest below Moosalp with impressive roaring. From the beginning/middle of October, the open larch forest turns golden - a colour spectacle that is hardly believable in its intensity! The peak of the concentrated luminosity is from about 18 Oct to 10 Nov. From then until Christmas very quiet. Meanwhile in Nov. + Dec. often fine days, then clear with best view of the now snow-covered mountains all around.

Large LIBRARY and selection of Bluray films for bad weather (rare in Valais) and the evenings.

Wine: 11 very good regional wines are available in the chalet for the guest's own selection.

ARCHITECTURE: The exterior design is based on the local chalet style, but breaks away from anything heavy, instead aiming for the principle of visual lightness. The decided lightness is expressed again and again in convincing detailed solutions. The roof soffit and exterior lamellas are each made of larch in exclusive craftsmanship by the Törbj carpenter. The interior fittings are characterised by both exclusive and explicitly modern-looking knotless Swiss larch wood, which has not yet been realised in this consistent form in an Alpine chalet.

LAST-MINUTE: If the chalet is not booked 14 days before the usual start of the rental period (= Saturdays), there is a 25% discount, if it is not booked 7 days before, there is a 35% discount.

COMPLETE PRICE without FINAL CLEANING: the price quoted is always a complete price including e.g. heating, electricity, towels and linen. The only thing not included is the final cleaning, which is charged at 130 SFr, regardless of the rental period.

DEPOSIT: 25% of the rental price. The remaining 75% THREE weeks before the start of the holiday.

ACCESS: Public road up to the chalet, which is reliably cleared even in winter. 4x4 not necessary, on 98% of winter days snow chains are not required.
Public transport to Törbel all year round almost hourly from Visp. During the season (Christmas to mid-March and beginning of June to end of October) a bus runs directly to the chalet.

GARAGE: 2 garages belong to the chalet, one for parking the car, the other for storing other things. e.g. skis. Both garages are 70 m from the house, directly on the access road (no problem in winter with snow).
