Rustic holiday home with beautiful views

The rustic holiday home is south-facing and easily accessible by car, even in winter this residence is wonderful, the location is very quiet, in full nature. (on the side of the Flers/Domfront road). You can unload your car at the back of this residence/kitchen/living...
There are enough filters available, to have the desired and slightly better taste of your coffee every day.
It also helps to use less electricity, which is ecological.
There is extensive kitchen equipment.
In the last cupboard, there is a first aid kit.
There is no wifi in the house!
You can sleep on the ground floor, no need to go upstairs.
There is a toilet, a shower and a washbasin on the ground floor.
You can dump all waste for free, at the driveway, at the side of the street. There is a terrace on the south side (on the partial garden).
Pets are allowed for free and very welcome,
it will be a paradise for them and their owners in this beautiful natural area.

Rustic holiday home with very cosily furnished living area, a fireplace and free bikes available to explore the area. There is a possibility to rent several bikes, please ask the babysitter.

Restored in the year 2012, the court from a quiet past, combines the old elements with modern designer furniture. The holiday home possesses two floors, the roof consists of a historical covering. The living area is lovingly decorated and consists of a living room with an open dining area/diner. The living room is furnished with two sofas and has a modern TV (English channels only) and a video recorder, in the dining area there is an option for six people. In the garden, there is no access to the shed, due to danger of collapse!
In the dining area you will find a 3 farden with extensive information about the region, as well as emergency numbers! The separate kitchen includes an oven, hob, fridge, large freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, etc. (all appliances are newly purchased)
Here, four people have a newly equipped seating area. A nice terrace... Furthermore, in another room there is a shower and a sink, this next to the kitchen. On the upper floor, which you reach via a spiral staircase, there are three heated bedrooms available for you, two with a double bed (160cm x 210cm and 150cm x 200cm) and in the third room there is a large single bed (queen-size). The reclining beds are all new with solid and new mattresses. You will also find a desk in this room. You will also find a large heated bathroom upstairs, where there is a toilet, shower/bath. There is heating in every room. The house is also child-friendly. Only available per week (rentable)

At the house there is a (renewed) garden set on a southern terrace. The holiday home is surrounded by mighty green nature and an enclosed garden by the forest - ideal for children who want to play in the wild. There is a barbecue on the terrace. Three parking spaces are available. At the kitchen, you can park your car and unload it immediately. You can use three bicycles free of charge on site to explore the area.

From the cottage, you can go for walks, in full nature!
Dine on the terrace...with stunning views....
The driveway is not fenced (possibility to fence it) , but in the street, there is almost no traffic. You can also take breakfast, on the terrace by the kitchen.
There is to the terrace/kitchen and it faces south.
A nice maintained partial garden, is available with the necessary garden furniture.

The open stove (fireplace) in the living area underlines cosiness and makes your evenings more beautiful. The wood for this is in the barn and can be used at no additional cost. Internet in this area, is not so very solid as we expect in the Netherlands, more to civilisation there is always free internet in the McDonalds / Burger-King / bowling / subtropical swimming pool ...
there is no roof terrace, nor a veranda!
An old renovated farmhouse, from a distant past,
you can do your laundry, but there is no dryer, although there is a dry one nearby.
There are very thick walls and awnings everywhere to keep the heat out.
In a hot summer, it is very pleasant inside.
You can sleep downstairs in a fresh environment.

Excellent French bread is available less than 1.5 km from the cottage. Shops..., public transport and a restaurant can be reached within a good kilometre. There is also the possibility of horse riding in the immediate vicinity (1 km away). The town of Flers and Domfront are nearby and very easy to reach.
The same street also goes to the large city of Caen, as well as the motorway. Shopping facilities are about 1.5 km away (in the centre of the village.) At 27 km you can reach the fashionable Bagnoles-de-l'orne, a place known for its well-nes and its casino/beautiful gardens/restaurant/market...
You cannot fish in the farmer's basin.
You have at a small distance, a shopping centre to make your bigger purchases at a cheap price.

    “Wij waren er een week met 5 personen en 4 honden. Vooral de rust, de natuur en het authentieke huisje maakten ons verblijf heel geslaagd.

    Voordelen:
    - Privacy 100%
    - Heel rustige ligging, alleenstaand
    - Prachtig vergezicht
    - Mooie tuin
    - Prachtige, authentieke woning
    - De woning was schoongemaakt bij aankomst
    - Huissleutel aanwezig bij aankomst (kluisje met code)
    - Parking
    - Goed uitgerust

    Minpunten:
    - De tuin is niet volledig omheind, honden kunnen dus ontsnappen
    - Weinig glazen aanwezig, wij Belgen drinken graag een biertje en bierglazen waren er niet
    - Je moet zelf het huis schoonmaken bij vertrek
    - Problemen met de koelkast, maar met hulp van de eigenaar kon dit opgelost worden.
    - Geen koffiezet aanwezig, maar voor ons was dit geen probleem
    - De fietsen hebben wij niet gebruikt, 2 mountainbikes. De derde gewone fiets kon een opknapbeurt
    gebruiken.
    - Het rooster van de BBQ past niet in de BBQ, te klein. De BBQ was overigens niet schoongemaakt.

    Wij gaan zeker nog terug!”

    nog afval van de vorige vakantie welke wij dan opgeruimd hebben.”

    “Het betreft een ruim huis gelegen tussen de plaatsen Domfront en Flers. Het is behoorlijk afgelegen en lopend kom je nergens. Je hebt dus overal een auto voor nodig. Fietsen is een optie maar houd er rekening mee dat het erg heuvelachtig is.
    Bij aankomst was het huis keurig schoongemaakt. Wel vind je overal dode vliegen maar dat kan niet anders want het barst van de vliegen vanwege alle weilanden en koeien in de omgeving. Voor de auto is er een oprit en hebt daarnaast een ruime tuin met bbq en een terras. Het huis is erg compleet ingericht: met name in de keuken vind je alles wat je nodig kunt hebben (broodrooster, kookplaat, ovens, magnetron, waterkoker etc). Grote badkamer met lekkere douche (in bad). Wasmachine, wc boven en beneden en drie slaapkamers waarvan twee met een dubbel bed. Zelfs een föhn was aanwezig. TV heeft inderdaad maar 4 Engelse netten dus hebben we niet gebruikt, er liggen ook enkele dvd's.
    Ook zijn er twee mappen met informatie over wat er te doen is in de omgeving. Realiseer je wel dat Normandie erg groot is en dat je vaak meer dan een uur in de auto zit om ergens te komen (bv Omaha beach 1 uur 40 minuten, Mont St Michel 1 uur 10 minuten).

    Enkele nadelen: Er hangt een sterke muffe geur in het huis, een combinatie van 'natte hond' en vocht schatten wij zo in. Ook bleek er geen wifi te zijn. Opvallend is dat de foto's die geplaatst zijn bij de omschrijving niet allemaal bij het object zijn gemaakt. Ook zijn de tuinstoelen in dermate slechte staat, dat meerdere keren iemand achterover is gevallen. De verstelbare leuningen zijn afgesleten. Laatste opmerking betreft de lage balken in het huis. Deze geven sfeer maar met onze lange gezinsleden bleek het nogal onhandig...”
